Meet your yoga instructor course teachers!

Kathy Clark (ERYT 500-Senior Level 4, Accredited Exercise Physiologist and Exercise Scientist)

I am an accredited exercise physiologist, a rehabilitation specialist and the former co-owner a multi-disciplinary treatment centre. However, the role I feel most honoured to embody is that of a Yoga Teacher.

My life has always revolved around health and wellness. This journey began as an avid sportsperson, fitness instructor, TV presenter and university lecturer.

My enthusiasm and commitment have only deepened over the years and most profoundly in relationship to yoga. Yoga has been my anchor and foundation for the past 20 years and after all those years of practicing, studying and teaching yoga, I can say with deep humility and great joy that my own understanding of yoga is by no means complete.

In many ways, I still feel like a beginner due to the depth and breadth of this ancient wisdom and that is what I love so much about this path.  It’s an incredible honour and privileged to share this life-changing wisdom, practice and journey.

Grant Newton (Musculoskeletal Physiotherapist)

I have been a practicing physiotherapist since 1997, a business owner since 2000, but I only discovered the amazing benefits of yoga in 2005.

I very quickly recognised how powerful yoga was as a healing modality and I began to incorporate asanas and pranayama techniques into my manual therapy sessions and gave them to my clients for homework.

As an allied health professional, I was always acutely aware that healing requires a deep mind-body connection, but yoga provided the most powerful portal to help clients access this.

The techniques and tools I learned through my yoga practice became an incredibly effective method for reducing pain, but also empowering clients to take active participation and ownership of their own health and healing journey.
