When you graduate with a SIS40221 Certificate IV in Fitness from FIT College, you will be able to register as a Personal Trainer with AUSActive, the National Register for Industry Professionals.
As a Personal Trainer, you will be involved in various activities and functions within the fitness industry, including working independently in a broad range of settings, such as within fitness centres, gyms, pools, community facilities, and open spaces. What personal training certification should I get?
If you’re passionate about fitness or looking for personal training courses Australia then the dual certificate will be for you. To become a fully qualified personal trainer with valid insurance you’ll need to study the new nationally accredited VET course SIS30321 and the SIS40221. These two qualifications are necessary for anyone looking to start their fitness career as a personal trainer.

How long does it take to become a PT in Australia?

Full-time study provides the most immersive mode of study which can see you qualified as a personal trainer in as little as 14 weeks. Visit your local campus for more details.
Part-time study is designed for the working person. Allowing individuals to access state-of-the-art learning facilities in Australia’s leading gyms two nights a week from 6pm-9pm. Which can see people get qualified in 6 months.
FIT College’s online study mode is unique as you get 12 months of allowable time per certificate and no mandatory gym hours are required. FIT College also marks your assessments within 72 hours making studying online as quick and as seamless as possible. Students who commit to 20-30 hours of study a week can expect to complete each certificate within 6 months.
