Career Opportunities and Potential income
Having Certificate III, Certificate IV in Fitness, and the Diploma of Sport gives individuals a wider variety of employment opportunities both nationally and internationally.
Fitness qualifications/registrations are recognised through global fitness networks such as ICREPS.
Most of Australia's smaller 24-hour fitness facilities offer management positions to Certificate IV in Fitness holders. Larger fitness facilities and community/state/national sporting organisations offer roles such as:
- Group fitness instructor/manager: $40–80 per class
- Professional personal trainer/Manager: $50–100 per hour
- Sport Development Coach/Manager: $60 per hour
These roles can lead to regional, state, and national positions.
Study pathway
Certificate III in Fitness: A 6-month visa is available to students studying the CRICOS course 110301E across two terms. Cert III must be completed before enrolling into the Cert IV course.
Certificate IV in Fitness: A 6-month visa is available to students studying the CRICOS course 110302D across two terms. Dual Cert III & Cert IV enrolments may be eligible for 1-year student visa.
Diploma: This can be studied without prerequisites or after the Dual Cert III & Cert IV courses. A total of 1 year study.

Support services
FIT College is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, regardless of study mode or location. A comprehensive range of academic support services is available to help students develop the knowledge and skills necessary to complete their studies with confidence.
Available to all students – Face-to-Face and Online
All FIT College students have access to qualified Educators through a variety of support channels. These services are free of charge and designed to promote continuous learning, engagement, and academic progress.
1. Face-to-Face (On-Campus) Support Sessions
All FIT College students can attend scheduled on-campus support sessions. During these sessions, a qualified Trainer and Assessor is available to provide course assistance, assessment guidance, and clarification of learning outcomes. Students may also use campus facilities and collaborate with peers to enhance their learning experience. Session days and times vary between campuses and are subject to availability. Attendance must be arranged through the Student Platform by submitting a Help Request to book a session.
2. Virtual Support Sessions
FIT College offers scheduled virtual support sessions each week, which may be general in nature or focus on specific topics. All students are welcome to book or “drop in” via the Learning Platform to access Educator assistance with course content, assessment completion, and study skills. Upcoming General Support sessions are promoted through the Student Platform under the Announcements section, including direct links to join.
3. Online Support (Help Request 24/7)
All students can access assistance at any time through the Help Request function on the learning platform. Help Requests may relate to Education, Student Services, or Career Development and are responded to within 24–48 hours during business days.
4. Education Phone Support
Students may contact FIT College’s national education support line for immediate assistance between 8 am – 5 pm (AEST), Monday to Friday, on 1300 887 017. Calls requiring extended tutorial support (longer than 5 minutes) may be referred for a scheduled appointment with an assigned Educator.

Academic support at FIT College is designed to ensure every student feels engaged, confident, and capable throughout their qualification. All students are encouraged to make regular use of these services and communicate proactively with their Educators whenever they require clarification or additional learning assistance.

Entry Requirements
Required General Resources:
- Access to a computer or device that can connect to the internet
- Internet access with a broadband plan suitable for online study
- Smartphone, camera, video camera, or device that can take pictures & record videos
Course Assessment
Every qualification, unit of competency or skill set completed at FIT College will require students to undergo a number of written and/or practical assessment tasks. These confirm that the student can meet all curriculum criteria.
English & LLN Requirements
ESOS/CRICOS Additional International Student Requirements
International students may be required to achieve a minimum test score in one of the following English language tests:
- IELTS Academic: 6.0 overall score with no band less than 5.5
- TOEFL iBT: 64 overall with minimum Reading 5, Listening 5, Speaking 14, Writing 15
- Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): 169 overall, no less than 154 in any component
- Pearson PTE Academic: 50 overall, no less than 36 in any communication band

ESOS/CRICOS Additional International Student Payments
International Students are required to pay for their course in advance, prior to commencement. Payment can be made in full, or prior to each Semester or Term.
Skillsets & Sub-Qualifications
There are no NRT Skillsets within this qualification that are offered for individual sale.

What does CRICOS Stand for?
CRICOS is an acronym for the Commonwealth Register of Institutions and Courses for Overseas Students. It's the Australian Governments official list of registered Australian education providers that offer courses to individuals looking at studying in Australia with student visas.
CRICOS helps with:
- Assisting international students with visa requirements to work in Australia.
- Regulation; FIT College is a registered CRICOS provider that allows international students to study with FIT College with the appropriate visas.
- Quality Assurance; CRICOS ensures that registered educational providers hold a high standard of education.
Can FIT College assist in finding accommodation or employment?
Can i pay my tuition fees weekly on a payment plan?
FIT College requires all international students to forward relevant tuition fees by each term's census date.
These census dates are on your Letter of Offer (LoO), and all tuition term payments are due in full by said dates.
How a student completes the required term tuition payment is up to the student. Any part or full-term payment that is completed by Electronic Funds Transfer (EFT) must have the student's name as the ‘Reference’.
What visa will i need to study at fit college?
FIT College does not provide Migration advice. All students must meet the visa requirements of international students as directed by a registered Migration agent.
can I study with FIT College as an online student?
All students who enrol with FIT College, as an ‘international’ student, must study in a face-to-face capacity on campus. Each course offered will have a specific learning delivery. In some circumstances, days or times of study may change.
