“Are FIT College courses Nationally Recognised and Fully Accredited Australia Wide?"

Yes, all courses are nationally recognised and accredited.  FIT College is a Recognised Training Organisation (RTO Number: 31903). FIT College complies with current legislative and regulatory requirements impacting on participants in training. FIT College complies with all standards for Registered Training Organisations 2015. All assessment and certification are granted under and complies with the Australian Qualifications Framework (AQF) Issuance Policy. 

“On campus courses (face to face) – what is the length of the full time and part time courses?"

FIT College on campus courses are just that – ON campus! Our expert team of fitness and education professionals have been in the industry for many years and have all completed further studies to become a FIT College Trainer and Assessor. Real Classroom, Real Teachers, Real Training, Real Experience!

Full time courses are generally 14 weeks in duration (Monday to Thursday, 10.00 am to 1.00 pm) and part time courses are 2 evenings per week (6.00 pm – 9.00 pm: 28 weeks in duration).

“Is there practical application and work experience in the courses?"

Our practically structured assessments have the required hours built into each qualification. Rather than sit back and observe others do the work of a fitness professional, you will be asked to perform many practical tasks in the course. These experiences give you the tools, knowledge and practical skills to be a successful Fitness Professional.

“What qualifications do I graduate with?"

Certificate III (SIS30315) and Certificate IV (SIS40215) in Fitness! This means you are a fully certified and accredited Personal Trainer! Not only can you work in a gym as a gym instructor or personal trainer – you can also run your own training business! You can also apply to become an accredited Level 1 Strength & Conditioning coach with the ASCA.

“Am I really going to be ready to start work when I have completed the course?"

“How long does the Certificate III and IV course Online take to complete?"

The flexibility to this course is the key. Many of our students are working full time and completing their studies. We also assist many students in formulating a plan to complete the course in a set time frame. We have had students complete their Personal Trainer Qualification (Certificate III and IV in Fitness) in as little as 6 months, and others that wish to take the full 12 months allowed per qualification. You have 12 months to complete each qualification but it depends on how quickly you want to graduate. The choice is yours.

“Is there plenty of work for a Personal Trainer?"

Absolutely, a common question we are asked at the college and in general conversation is – “Is there enough work for me when I finish as there seems to be a lot of trainers everywhere!?” There is always plenty of work for the right person with the right attitude and work ethic. “Is certification via a correspondence course the same as doing it face to face?"

In short – Yes, all Registered Training Organisations have to use the same training package regardless of the length and study mode of the course. FIT College’s blended online course is identical to that of our face to face course. The only difference is that you don’t sit in a classroom and complete your tuition. Online study involves you putting in time to carefully read, analyse and understand the material and then transfer that to the fitness ‘real world’. 

“Are there any additional costs involved in the course?“"

On Campus: Besides personal stationery, your own internet access plan and laptop/PC — there are NO extra fees. 

Online: There is a requirement that all online FIT College students complete their First Aid course and provide the certification to FIT College. the First Aid course cost, travel and accommodation costs associated with you attending First Aid is at your own expense.

“RPL and Skills Recognition. How does the process work?"

If you have already completed some formal training before, you can apply for RPL or credit transfer towards your new qualification. Chat to FIT College today and work out the best way to submit your RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). Once assessed by FIT College – we will put your plan together for completion of the remaining competencies for Certificate III and IV Fitness. Talk to a Careers Advisor today about this process.

No everything is provided online. Our specially designed “Students” area has ALL of your resources, lecture notes and much much more, where you can easily access your study material and student support.
