Is there plenty of work for when I become a Personal Trainer?

There is always plenty of work for the right person with the right attitude and work ethic. Working with people is not easy, but the rewards are endless if you are in the fitness industry to help people.
The industry is crying out for passionate, hard-working, knowledgeable and enthusiastic PTs. FIT College can help you. Do you believe that staying in shape is important? Do you get plenty of physical exercise at your current job? The increasing number of people who answer yes to the first question, and no to the second, has fuelled the growth of an entire industry - personal fitness. Am I too old to become a Personal Trainer?
Very easy answer - 'NO.' The fitness industry is crying out for 'real people'. Are you passionate about helping others, love fitness and have been thinking about it for years? Then you're ready to start a career in fitness. Chat to FIT College today. We have a diverse group of fitness education students aged from 16-61 - there are no boundaries to the fitness industry. Is certification via a correspondence course the same as doing it face to face?
Yes - in the sense that matters most: every RTO delivers against the same nationally regulated training package, so the qualification you graduate with is identical regardless of study mode. What differs is how you engage with the material. Our online study option covers the same curriculum as our face-to-face course, but online students work through readings, videos and assessments independently, rather than attending in-person classes and practical sessions with a trainer in the room.
Are there any additional costs involved in the fitness course?
On Campus: Besides personal stationery, and laptop/PC or tablet - there are no extra fees.
Online: There is a requirement that all online FIT College students complete their First Aid course and provide the certification to FIT College. The First Aid course cost, and any travel and accommodation costs associated with attending First Aid, are at your own expense. Also having access to a local gym is a key to completing your practical assessments.
RPL and Skills Recognition. How does the process work?
If you have already completed some formal fitness education training before, you can apply for RPL or credit transfer towards your new qualification. Chat to FIT College today and work out the best way to submit your RPL (Recognition of Prior Learning). Once assessed by FIT College, we will put your plan together for completion of the remaining competencies for Certificate III and IV in Fitness. Talk to a Careers Advisor today about this process.
How does online fitness study work? Is there loads of textbooks to study?
No - everything is provided online. AXcelerate has all of your fitness education resources, lecture notes and much more, where you can easily access your on-campus and online fitness study material and student support.
