Before each assessment, you must conduct a briefing session with the candidate to explain the planned assessment tasks, required resources, time commitment, any specialist support available, and potential health and safety considerations. Once the briefing is complete, you will carry out the assessment, make and record the assessment decision, and provide clear, constructive feedback to the candidate. • You will deliver six planned training sessions, clearly presenting the learning objectives and utilising a range of delivery techniques to meet learner needs. Before each session, you will brief learners on Workplace Health and Safety (WHS) requirements to ensure a safe learning environment. Throughout the sessions, you will follow your session plan structure, delivering activities in the correct sequence while monitoring learner participation and engagement.
• You will be expected to adapt your approach where needed, use language appropriate to your learners’ LLN levels for clarity, and incorporate a variety of teaching aids, resources, and support personnel if applicable. Each session should include opportunities for learners to practise their skills, allowing you to reinforce key learning points and support their development effectively.

Have a minimum education to year 10 level and a moderate level of computer literacy.

ACADEMIC SUPPORT

FIT College is committed to ensuring that every student has the opportunity to succeed academically, regardless of study mode or location. A comprehensive range of academic support services is available to assist students in developing the knowledge and skills required to complete their studies confidently.

Available to all students – Face-to-Face and Online

All FIT College students have access to qualified Educators through a variety of support channels. These services are free of charge and designed to promote continuous learning, engagement, and academic progress.

1. Face-to-Face (On-Campus) Support Sessions

All FIT College students can attend scheduled on-campus support sessions. During these sessions, a qualified Trainer and Assessor is available to provide course assistance, assessment guidance, and clarification of learning outcomes. Students may also use campus facilities and collaborate with peers to enhance their learning experience. Session days and times vary between campuses and are subject to availability. Attendance must be arranged through the Student Platform by submitting a Help Request to book a session.

2. Virtual Support Sessions

FIT College offers scheduled virtual support sessions each week, which may be general in nature or focus on specific topics. All students are welcome to book or “drop in” via the Learning Platform to access Educator assistance with course content, assessment completion, and study skills. Upcoming General Support sessions are promoted through the Student Platform under the Announcements section, including direct links to join.

3. Online Support (Help Request 24/7)

All students can access assistance at any time through the Help Request function on the learning platform. Help Requests may relate to Education, Student Services, or Career Development and are responded to within 24–48 hours during business days.

4. Education Phone Support

Students may contact FIT College’s national education support line for immediate assistance between 8 am – 5 pm (AEST), Monday to Friday, on 1300 887 017. Calls requiring extended tutorial support (longer than 5 minutes) may be referred for a scheduled appointment with an assigned Educator.
