Director and CEO
Mark has experienced many years of sporting and business success including being a professional rugby player in France, managing a number of service related businesses and coaching a number of regional sporting teams to premierships. Mark has operated Suncoast Fitness Centre; one of the longest standing and most reputable fitness centres on the Sunshine Coast; since 1993 in Maroochydore. Mark saw first-hand the need to employ qualified and professional staff who were employment ready and capable from the first day on the job. FIT College commenced in 2007 and Mark is proud of the courses FIT College offers to develop high calibre trainers Australia wide.
Special Projects Manager
Mark is a recognised Fitness Industry and Strength & Conditioning expert both nationally and Internationally. Mark has a PhD in Sport & Exercise Science, is an Accredited Exercise Physiologist with ESSA and a Level 3 Master Coach with ASCA. Mark is a past president of Fitness Qld and is currently on the Exercise Professional Council for Fitness Australia. Mark has more than 25 years industry experience being one of the first fitness professionals to work as a personal trainer on the Sunshine Coast in the early 1990’s. Since then Mark has owned and operated several fitness related businesses and trained and mentored many fitness professionals.
Maxene has extensive experience in both the business and education environments. Maxene has over ten years teaching experience specialising in Physical Education and Drama, with three years as Head of Department. Maxene has also many years of business experience in the warehousing sector working as both manager and trainer with a key role in planning and organising staff training and assessment. Maxene is the FIT College RTO Manager where her day to day role is to manage the operations of the College and provide a supportive environment for students and teachers; as well as overseeing the First Aid, TAE and Business course development and delivery.
National Licensee & Education Manager
Chris is an experienced Sport & Exercise Scientist working in the Fitness Industry since 2005. Chris has worked in a broad range of fitness settings including large clubs, private studios, and personal training businesses. This experience has given Chris opportunity to study the industry and better understand the stakeholders and how fitness industry professionals scope of practice fits across this broad industry. Chris is the Vocational Training Area Manager of Fitness at the FIT College Head Office in Maroochydore. Chris leads the fitness course and provides support to all teachers delivering throughout Australia. Chris’ primary goal is to provide quality education that helps budding Personal Trainers create a point of difference in their business and thrive in the contemporary fitness industry.
Online Fitness Manager
Keagan has a Diploma in Fitness and is currently completing a degree in Sport and Exercise Science at USC. Keagan has more than ten years experience as a Personal Trainer and is an Olympic Weightlifting Level 1 coach, having completed work experience with the Brisbane Broncos and NTID Sprint Kayak Squads. Keagan spent several months in India delivering FIT College courses and is now On-line Manager of Fitness for FIT College nationally. Keagan manages all the online tutors and provides daily support to students who study on-line in any part of Australia and guides them through the course toward a successful completion and career in the fitness industry.
